World's Longest River and Victoria Lake - travel by boat to Source of Nile and Victoria Lake by TravelEx
The Nile is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa, and is commonly regarded as the longest river in the world. The Nile, which is 6,853 km (4,258 miles) long, is an "international" river as its drainage basin covers eleven countries, namely, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Republic of the Sudan and Egypt.
The river Nile has two major tributaries, the White Nile and Blue Nile. The White Nile is considered to be the headwaters and primary stream of the Nile itself. The Blue Nile, however, is the source of most of the water and silt. The White Nile is longer and rises in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, with the most distant source still undetermined but located in either Rwanda or Burundi. Some people agreed that Nile starts from Lake Victoria, Uganda as it is the identified sources.
To Muslims, the river Nile is historic river and has special importance. Quran also described Nile as a river of heaven. We have an opportunity to visit source of Nile in Uganda where water comes out from the ground depth and Lake Victoria.

Itanda falls, Jinja, Uganda is such an Extremely Beautiful Waterfall on the River Nile that You never like to miss. It is one of the most beautiful hidden treasure of Uganda. It was visited by Prince William of United Kingdom. It is the paradise for Kayakers and Rafters and a popular place for white rafting. Itanda falls is a steep cascade roaring waterfall on the majestic river Nile. The water is estimated to be 100 meter deep. Bujagali Falls lost its popularity after building Bujagali dam and Itanda Falls is getting attractions to visitors.
Itanda Falls is about 27 kilometers from Jinja town and takes about 45 minutes’ drive along River Nile. But once you get there, you will be so awed by the power and beauty of these falls that you will not only want to come back, but will tell someone else about it. The Itanda fall are as beautiful and powerful as they are dangerous, caution is advised when visiting.
